Our weavings incorporate the ancient inconography of the Incan, Hauri and Paracas cultures, which thrived in the Ayacucho region before the arrival of the Spanish. Master artist Ciprian Fernandez builds upon years of weaving experience, passed down from generation to generation, along with his imagination, creativity and innovation. Fernandez continues to pass along this ancient weaving tradition to new generations, ensuring that this ancient artform of Ayacucho continues to thrive.
The alpaca and lambswool fibers used in our weavings are dyed with natural pigments native to plants and other natural materials in the Ayacucho region such as cochinilla, walnut tree, chillca, maasucopa, and molle plants.
